The range of Logitech machine systems available ensures that the most appropriate equipment is supplied for any given output requirement. This may range from just a few sections up to sample quantities of around 220 per week.
Maxiumum weekly output rates (subject to operator availability and efficiency) are illustrated in the table below. For all RL and RS systems, the PLJ2 precision polishing jig is the standard sample holding fixture. RS systems are identical to the equivalent RL syste with the addition of the GTS1 Cut-Off and Trim Saw.

A range of PM5 lapping and polishing machine systems produce excellent processing results where there is a need to produce approximately 100 standard (28x48mm) thin sections per week.
If more than 100 standard thin sections are required, the LP50 range of thin section preparation systems have the capacity to increase thin section output to approximately 200 per week. This is possibel due to the flexibility of the larger LP50 machines in accommodating between one and three workstations, depending upon individual output requirements.
By using machines with automatic lapping plate flatness control, operators benefit from substantial reductions in overall processing time as well as ensuring high quality thin sections are produced consistently.
